Justin Bieber was paid $10 million to sing at Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding party in Mumbai on Friday, according to reports from India.
The 30-year-old pop star performed over a dozen of his popular songs, including “Baby,” “Love Yourself,” and “Peaches,” in a private concert for Ambani, his fiancée Radhika Merchant, their family and friends.
Bieber, who is worth about $300 million, shared photos and videos from the event on Instagram.
In one post, he posed backstage with Ambani and Merchant, both 29, wearing a white tank top, black pants, and a backward baseball cap.
During his show, Bieber handed the microphone to front-row guest Orhan Awatramani, who sang along to “Where Are Ãœ Now.”
Bieber also posted glimpses of his short trip to India, including a limo ride to the venue and relaxing in his hotel suite.
After the performance, Bieber quickly returned to the United States to be with his wife, Hailey Bieber, who is expecting their first child.
Anant Ambani is the son of Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries and the richest person in Asia with a net worth of $123.4 billion, according to Forbes. The Ambani family has been preparing for the wedding on July 12 for months.
In March, Rihanna was reportedly paid $6 million to perform at another pre-wedding celebration for the couple, which was attended by billionaires like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg.
In May, the Ambanis treated their relatives to a three-day cruise from Italy to France, featuring performances by Katy Perry, Pitbull, and David Guetta.
