Kendrick Lamar, a Grammy-winning rapper, will make history as the first solo rapper to headline the Super Bowl halftime show in 2025.
The event is set for February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Lamar shared the news on Sunday with a post on X, expressing his excitement about the performance. He wrote, “#SuperBowlLIX. New Orleans,” and shared a YouTube link with his 16.1 million followers. As of Monday, the video had about 1,635,986 views.
This will be Lamar’s first solo performance at the Super Bowl, making it a historic moment for hip-hop.
The NFL, Roc Nation, and Apple Music confirmed the news, highlighting this as a big achievement in Lamar’s career.

Lamar previously performed at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show alongside Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, and 50 Cent in Los Angeles.
