Kenneth Okonkwo, a former spokesperson for the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign, has left the party.
Okonkwo, who joined the LP in 2022, shared this news on his X handle on Saturday, saying he left because the party did not show the kind of leadership needed to solve Nigeria’s problems.
He was also disappointed that Peter Obi, the LP presidential candidate, did not work enough to strengthen the party and fix its leadership issues.
“I no longer have the confidence that Peter Obi has what it takes to build a party that can win these kakistocrats and kleptocrats, and above all, he has proved that even if the people vote for him, he doesn’t have what it takes to secure the mandate,” Okonkwo said.
