Lagos Govt Announces 90-Day Traffic Diversion on Bridge

by Beyondboders

The Lagos State Government has said there will be a 90-day traffic change on the Odo Iya Alaro Bridge, starting from Monday, July 22, 2024.

Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Commissioner for Transportation, said on Thursday, July 18, 2024, that the bridge needs fixing because the road and joints are in bad shape.

The traffic change will happen in two parts: one for Ojota bound and another for Yaba/Ojuelegba/Maryland bound lanes. New routes are set for each part.

For the first part, drivers going to Ojota from Maryland/Yaba will use a counter flow lane heading to Maryland. Those going to Yaba from Ojota will stay on the same lane.

Drivers from Berger, Magodo, and Tollgate on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway should use Alapere/Ogudu to Gbagada/Anthony Oke Bridge, then get on Ikorodu Road to continue.
