Rose Idibia, the mother of famous Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Baba or 2Face, has asked the public to help beg Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to stay away from her son.
In a video shared online on Thursday evening, Mrs. Idibia said 2Baba is not in the right state of mind because of his ongoing divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia.
Speaking in the video, she said: “Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2face. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son.
“My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him. Please, Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and neck, remove them and free him.”
Earlier in January 2025, 2Baba announced his separation from Annie, his wife of over 13 years.
Rumours of a relationship between him and Osawaru started after he was seen at the Edo State Assembly and later at a club in Lagos with her.
In a recent video, 2Baba proposed to Osawaru while they were dancing. He gave her a ring and hugged her warmly, sparking different reactions online.
Responding to the controversy, 2Baba defended Osawaru, saying she was not the reason for his marriage breakup.
He said: “Hon. Natasha has been dragged and called all sorts of names. She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman, and had nothing to do with what happened between me and Annie. Yes, I love her, and I want to marry her.”
