Popular comedian Denilson Igwe has stirred reactions after addressing fellow comedian Mark Angel’s recent statement about losing $3.7 million (about N5.7 billion) in a forex trade.
Mark Angel recently shared on Instagram that 2024 was a tough year, highlighting a massive financial loss.
He also mentioned facing criticism after Denilson Igwe spoke against him on Nedu’s podcast.
Additionally, he noted that Emmanuella and Success had left the Mark Angel Comedy team.
In response, Denilson Igwe dismissed Mark Angel’s claims as false. On his Instagram page, he posted a cryptic message saying, “Lies na water, some people are just worse than devil,” implying that Angel was not being truthful.
This exchange has sparked online debates, with many fans revisiting the history between the two comedians.
Beyond Boders recalls that Denilson Igwe had in 2024, accused Mark Angel of exploiting him and others, alleging that Angel only paid Emmanuella N20,000 monthly despite the team reportedly earning $160,000 monthly.
He also claimed that Mark Angel hid earnings from their social media channels.
Denilson Igwe has maintained that he is the original founder of Mark Angel Comedy, a YouTube channel that started in 2013 and now has over nine million subscribers and more than a billion views.
