Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has called on the people of Edo State to vote for Asue Ighodalo, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, in the upcoming election on Saturday.
Makinde made this statement at an event in Ibadan, where the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport is being upgraded.
Although Makinde could not attend the campaign’s final event, he confirmed his strong support for Ighodalo.
“Let me make it clear that Seyi Makinde is 100 percent with our candidate in Edo State, Asue Ighodalo. If the people of Edo want to see the real difference between what is delicious and what is nutritious, they should vote for Asue Ighodalo to get what is truly nutritious” Makinde said.
He also voiced support for the PDP’s acting national chairman, saying he stands by the party’s leadership and decisions ahead of the election.
