Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta will be glad his players are back from international duty.
However, there are worries as Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka both got muscle injuries during the break. This gives Arteta extra concern, especially with tough games coming up.
Aside from the injuries, Arsenal players made headlines for their good performances on the international stage. Leandro Trossard, Declan Rice, and young Ethan Nwaneri all performed well, and other players linked with Arsenal also shone.
One standout was Nico Paz, a transfer target for Arsenal. The 20-year-old is said to be admired by Arsenal’s technical director Edu, with reports that both Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping a close eye on him.
Paz, who moved to Italian club Como from Real Madrid’s academy in the summer, has been impressive. He has three assists in his first six Serie A games under the guidance of Cesc Fabregas.
During the international break, Paz showcased his creativity again, providing an assist in his debut for Argentina as they defeated Bolivia 6-0.
His performance even caught the attention of Lionel Messi, who praised the young midfielder’s talent.
