A young man known as naetochukwu01 online, shared a devastating story about how his mother’s anger changed his life forever.
Just two weeks before he was set to travel to Australia to play soccer, his mother destroyed his dreams by burning his travel documents.
Naetochukwu01, recalling the painful incident on social media, revealed that he was scouted at the age of 15 to join a soccer team in Melbourne, Australia.
However, a Sunday turned sour when his mother, angered by his response to her scolding, lashed out.
“She stormed my room and took my travel documents, my jerseys and boots I had bought in Nigeria, and my boxes.
“She took kerosene and matches, went to the backyard, and set everything ablaze. Immediately, she lit the fire and threw it in, her eyes cleared.”
His mother’s impulsive act left him shattered. “I managed to salvage only my international passport,” he said, reflecting on the irreversible damage caused by her actions.
Despite her subsequent apologies, naetochukwu01 acknowledged the profound impact of his mother’s outburst on his life trajectory.
“I was only able to recover my international passport. Idk if she regrets it, but my life could have changed for good if not for her anger,” he expressed.
