MTN Nigeria has increased the prices of its data plans after the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) approved a 50% rise in telecom service costs. This is the first price increase in 11 years.
The new prices were introduced due to higher operational costs affecting telecom companies. Other service providers, such as Airtel and Globacom, are also expected to adjust their prices soon.
