Serwaa Amihere, a popular TV host from Ghana, has spoken out about a video of her that was leaked online, gaining the admiration of netizens.
As spotted by Beyond Boders, the video which surfaced on April 2, showed Serwaa in bed with a man identified as Henry Fitz.
It is believed the video was recorded back in 2019, before Henry’s marriage. Serwaa has now apologized for any embarrassment the video may have caused to her family, friends, employers, and the organizations she represents.
In a statement shared on April 24, 2024, Serwaa confirmed that the video is five years old.
She admitted underestimating her influence and what she would become in society at that time.

The 34-year-old revealed that the video was released after five months of threats and extortion, despite efforts by the police to stop it.
“Sincerely, I say sorry for the embarrassment, disappointment, and frustration which this matter has caused to my family and loved ones, to the distinguished businesses and brands represent, and to you.
“In all, have learnt deeply useful lessons for the future,” Serwaa expressed in her statement.
Serwaa Amihere is currently working at GHOne TV and has received awards for her work, including the Television Female Newscaster of the Year in 2018.
