Police officers in Ogun State have arrested a well-known cultist, Adekunle Adebajo, also known as “Kunle Poly,” for allegedly killing a member of a rival cult in Ijebu Ode.
According to reports, two rival cult groups clashed in Ijebu Ode, leading to the death of a man known as “Mosquito.”
Mosquito was reportedly shot, attacked with a machete, and had his left hand cut off and taken by the attackers.
Kunle Poly, believed to be involved in Mosquito’s murder, was caught by the police on August 12 at 12:03 a.m. in his hideout in Isiwo, Ijebu.
Kunle Poly admitted to being a member of the Eiye cult group.
When the police searched his home, they found a Beretta pistol with six bullets, two axes, and some charms.
When asked if the arrested suspect was the same Kunle Poly known for his role in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), police spokesperson SP Omolola Odutola said, “I don’t know who the original Kunle Poly is. The one we arrested is Adekunle Adebajo.”
