A close aide to Senator Rochas Okorocha, Ebere Nzeworji, has dismissed rumours that the former Imo State governor has passed away.
Nzeworji confirmed on Thursday morning that Okorocha is in good health, calling the death reports “false and misleading.”
The rumour began circulating on social media on Wednesday evening, claiming that Okorocha had died in a hospital in London.
However, Nzeworji clarified that Okorocha was at his office in Unity House, Abuja, around the time the rumour spread.
He also noted that Okorocha had recently returned from Owerri, Imo State, where he attended a funeral and hosted guests.

Nzeworji expressed concern about the intentions of those spreading this false news, stating, “Senator Okorocha is a patriotic Nigerian who has served at both state and national levels with distinction, building friendships with well-meaning individuals across the country and the globe.”
He urged Nigerians and the international community to ignore these rumours and assured everyone that Senator Okorocha is “hale and hearty.”
