There were rumours online that veteran actor Olu Jacobs died on Sunday after a long fight with dementia.
However, his wife, famous actress Joke Silva, has said these rumours are not true. On Sunday, she told TheNEWS and PMNEWS that “her husband is alive and doing just fine.”
This is not the first time such rumours have spread. In August 2022, Joke Silva also denied similar reports about her husband’s death.
She wrote on her Instagram story that her husband, known as Papa J (Olu Jacobs MFR), is alive and well, enjoying himself at home with family.
On June 30, writer and columnist Betty Irabor also said on social media that Olu Jacobs is well and alive, asking people to ignore the false rumours.
Olu Jacobs, born on July 11, 1942, is a respected Nigerian actor and film executive. He is considered one of the most talented and influential African actors of his time.
