The Lagos State Police have started looking into the death of Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Konga, a big e-commerce company in Nigeria.
Imudia reportedly died by suicide at his home in Lekki, Lagos, on June 25. He allegedly jumped from his balcony.
Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the news on Thursday. Hundeyin said, “Yes, it is true. He allegedly committed the act on June 25. An investigation has commenced at the homicide section, SCID, Yaba.”
Imudia, 45, was home when he called his brother in the United States, giving him instructions on how to share his wealth.
He also called his young daughter, telling her he would always be there for her. After the calls, he reportedly went to his balcony and jumped.
The fall killed him instantly. The reason for his actions is still unknown, and his family and friends are in shock.
Beyond Boders recalls that Nick Imudia who was from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, was previously married and had a daughter.
He studied Industrial Management in Finland, Oil and Gas Technology in Denmark, and had an MBA in International Business Management.
Until his death, he was the CEO of D.light, a company specializing in solar energy solutions.
