A Nigerian man caused a stir online after he secretly joined a feminist group on WhatsApp and exposed controversial conversations held within the group.
The man, identified as @societyhatesjay on X (formerly Twitter), posted screenshots of chats from the group, which called itself “Feminist Witches.”
The released messages included discussions on sensitive topics, one of which involved a case about a young girl accused of poisoning her boyfriend’s food, which led to multiple deaths. This conversation, along with others shared by Jay, sparked strong reactions online.
In some chats, members of the group allegedly expressed negative views about men, with some conversations centred on shocking and aggressive ideas.
One member mentioned wanting to harm her father over his support for Donald Trump, while another described a disturbing past experience involving abuse. There was even talk about “world domination” and harming men who stood in their way.
Many X users have expressed outrage over the conversations, arguing that the group’s views are not representative of true feminism.
One woman, criticizing the group, warned that such harmful discussions could influence others to take dangerous actions against men.
The controversy has led to calls for investigations into the group. Some social media users have tagged Nigerian police accounts, urging authorities to look into the matter. They argue that allowing such extreme ideas to circulate unchallenged could lead to dangerous actions in society.
