Rihanna playfully teased her fans in New York City on Thursday as they eagerly wait for new music.
The famous singer was seen stepping out of a black SUV, wearing a blue T-shirt that read “I’m retired, this is as dressed up as I get” in colourful letters.
This came after many fans have been asking for a new album for over eight years.
Rihanna, who has won nine Grammy Awards, has not released an album since “Anti” in 2016. Instead, she has focused on building her successful beauty brand, which is now worth a billion dollars.
Earlier this week, she announced she is launching a new hair care line. This made fans even more frustrated, with one tweeting, “You are releasing everything but the album!”
Rihanna’s outfit seemed to be a fun way of responding to these fans; she wore the T-shirt with a navy blue skirt, red Puma shoes, and a bright green handbag.
She also had Y2K-style sunglasses and her hair styled in braids.
