Popular Nigerian singer, Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, known as Simi, surprised her fans with a recent confession about her music habits.
On the “Zero Conditions” podcast with Joey Akande, Simi said, “I don’t really listen to music.”
This was shocking because Simi is a well-known Afropop singer. She added, “Ask anybody that came in the room with me. Ask them if I know anybody. I do not listen to a lot of music.”
Simi mentioned that she listens to her husband, Adekunle Gold’s music, but only because they are married, saying, “The reason I know my husband’s songs is because I’m married to him.”
Simi also said she rarely listens to her own music. “I don’t even listen to my songs. I’m only listening to my album right now because it’s new. I’m pretty sure I’ll stop listening soon,” she shared.
