Hip-hop star and businessman Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been arrested in New York City.
The arrest follows an investigation into serious federal charges, including sex trafficking. Federal officers arrested him in Manhattan after earlier raids at his homes in Los Angeles and Miami.
Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said his client is innocent and expressed disappointment with the arrest. The lawyer stated that Combs is ready to clear his name in court.
The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, confirmed the arrest in a statement. He said more information would be shared after the case details are made public.
Combs has faced multiple accusations in the past, including sexual assault and abuse. Some of these claims come from his former partner, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.
