In a recent development, rumours of a budding romance between Nigerian reality TV star Neo Akpofure and Super Falcons star Michelle Alozie, have been swirling online, but the two have denied the rumours.
As reported by Beyond Boders, an old video recently resurfaced of Neo talking to one of his female housemates in the Big Brother Naija house, in which he revealed that he was dating a Nigerian athlete who was also a scientist at Yale University.
Lots of people speculated that the athlete in the video was Alozie, but she has denied the rumours, same as Akpofure.
He defended himself, saying that he and Alozie are just friends.
“Michelle is a great person, but we’re not dating,” he said. “We’re just friends.”
Alozie in a series of tweets, also expressed her weariness at having to repeatedly deny dating rumours.
“I’m tired of having to debunk all these dating rumours,” she tweeted. “Can y’all just give me a break?”
