A brave mum with sickle cell disease has shared her journey through pregnancy, facing ups and downs along the way, and now celebrates the arrival of her baby boy.
Adetoyinbo Folashade, who shared her experiences on TikTok as @folabeautifier, opened up about her nine-month pregnancy as a sickle cell patient.
In a heartfelt video, Folashade detailed how she tackled common pregnancy issues like nausea and colds despite her condition.
Three weeks before her due date, she faced a serious challenge: a severe cough that caused her blood levels to drop dangerously low.
Admitted to the hospital, she spent the New Year’s Eve there, even though she was feeling better.
