Popular Nigerian singer Darlington Okoye, also known as Speed Darlington, has been arrested by the Nigerian police in Owerri, Imo State.
His lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, shared the news on Wednesday morning through a post on his X account.
In the post, Adeyanju said, “Our client Speed Darlington, a.k.a. AKPI, has been arrested by the Nigerian police in Owerri at his show upon return to Nigeria.”
Details about why he was arrested are still unknown at this time.
This is not the first time the singer has faced arrest. On October 4, police detained him over allegations of cyberstalking fellow artiste Burna Boy. He was later released on bail on October 9 after spending five days in custody.
