Nigerian rapper and content creator Speed Darlington has regained his freedom after being arrested for making slanderous remarks about popular singer Burna Boy.
Concerns grew among fans when Speed Darlington disappeared from social media for three days. This followed his comments claiming that Burna Boy won a Grammy because of his connections with arrested US music mogul Diddy.
Burna Boy filed a petition with the police, which led to Speed Darlington’s arrest. Human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, stepped in to help, working to secure the rapper’s release.
Reports now confirm that Speed Darlington has been granted bail. A viral photo shows him alongside Deji Adeyanju and others who played a part in his release.
