Satellite internet provider Starlink has announced that it will raise its monthly subscription prices.
In a message sent to customers on Tuesday, Starlink said that both current and new users will be affected by the price increase.
The standard home internet package will now cost ₦75,000 per month. The mobile regional package (roam unlimited) will now be ₦167,000, and the mobile global package (global roam) will cost ₦717,000.
The new prices are effective immediately for new customers, while existing users will start paying the higher prices from October 31, 2024.
Starlink said the price increase is due to
“excessive levels of inflation,” which has made it necessary to adjust their fees.
Customers who no longer wish to use the service can cancel anytime without paying any extra fees.
