Popular Nigerian comedian and actor Ayo Makun, widely known as AY Comedian, has shed light on how his support for Peter Obi in the 2023 elections led to a series of personal challenges.
During his recent AY Live show, AY Makun shared that he stands by his decision to support Peter Obi’s presidential bid, despite facing subsequent hardships.
AY revealed that following the elections, he encountered numerous difficulties, including the loss of his home, conflicts with prominent figures like Davido and Seun Kuti, and nearly losing his marriage.
In a candid moment at the event, AY Makun directly addressed former Kogi state gubernatorial candidate, Dino Melaye, who was in attendance.
He pointed out Melaye’s shift from being outspoken on political matters before the elections to a more subdued stance afterward.

The comedian emphasized that prior to the elections, Melaye was vocal and engaged in public discourse, but since his electoral defeat, he has noticeably withdrawn from the limelight.
