Award-winning Nigerian cinematographer and music video director, ThankGod Omori, widely known as TG Omori, has revealed that he recently underwent a failed kidney transplant.
Omori shared this sad news on Wednesday, asking Nigerians to keep him in their prayers.
“One year after my kidney crashed, I just had a failed transplant at St Nicolas Hospital Lagos. Pray for me,” he wrote.
The well-known director mentioned that he has already gone through surgery three times, but believes it is not his time to die.
Earlier, TG Omori had mentioned that his brother donated a kidney to save his life. He expressed deep gratitude, saying, “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again. Keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”
Beyond Boders further reports that TG Omori who has been away from the public eye for a while, posted a picture of himself in the hospital, looking emotional while receiving oxygen. He had been sharing vague messages about his health before this recent surgery.
Last month, he tweeted, “If I cross your mind, sometimes say a prayer for me. Poor marijuana, they blame you for all my rasclaat. You wanna eat, I wanna live.”
