Baltasar Ebang Engonga, head of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), is at the centre of a serious scandal involving intimate videos with multiple women.
Engonga was reportedly filmed with different women, including his brother’s wife, a cousin, and even a relative of the country’s President.
Popular social media critic Martins Ortse, known as VeryDarkMan, revealed these videos on his Instagram page.
Authorities found the videos during a separate fraud investigation. Over 300 recordings of Engonga with various women were discovered on his computer. The encounters allegedly took place in offices, hotels, and other locations, with all participants aware they were being filmed.
This scandal highlights ongoing social and cultural challenges in Equatorial Guinea. The country has a history of discrimination and marginalization, particularly against women, due to its colonial past and current political environment.
Reacting to the leaked intimate videos, Engonga wrote: “Not my fault, they wanted me.”
