TikTok influencers have shared unusual stories about being approached by people claiming to be private investigators, asking questions about music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing serious legal battles.
One influencer, Samson Crouppen, shared his experience on TikTok after two men visited his Los Angeles home.
Samson said the men claimed to be investigators hired to question creators with large audiences. They asked if he was being paid to create content about Diddy that could sway public opinion.
Samson denied being paid and called the visit “frightening.” The investigators reportedly told him they would pay him to reveal who, if anyone, was funding such content.
Samson later filed a harassment complaint with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Another TikToker, Amala Ekpunobi, shared a similar story. She said investigators went to her former home and contacted her through a past roommate.
Amala claimed the men were not upfront about being private investigators and pressed her with questions about her content on Diddy.
Like Samson, Amala denied being paid to make such posts. She described the encounter as “strange” and warned others to be cautious.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre. He awaits trial in May 2025 on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, which he has denied.
The LAPD has not yet commented on these incidents.

This is terrifying stuff. Be very careful people. Do yourself a favor and never answer the door for strangers. Call the police if they don’t leave. pic.twitter.com/470kUc6H05
