Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, has congratulated Donald Trump on his recent re-election as the 47th President of the United States.
In his message, shared through a statement from his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu expressed hopes to deepen the relationship between Nigeria and the U.S. in facing today’s global challenges and opportunities.
Tinubu remarked, “Together, we can foster economic cooperation, promote peace, and address global challenges that affect our citizens.”
He acknowledged Trump’s win as a sign of the trust Americans have in him. Tinubu also praised U.S. voters for their dedication to democracy.
The Nigerian leader believes that Trump’s past experience as the 45th President will help build valuable partnerships between Africa and the United States. Tinubu added that he trusts Trump will lead the world toward peace and prosperity.
