Tito Jackson, a well-known member of the famous Jackson 5 group and brother of the late Michael Jackson, has passed away at the age of 70.
Tito was part of the group that made popular songs like “ABC” and “I Want You Back.” His sons shared the sad news in a heartfelt message on Instagram on Monday.
The cause of his death has not been announced yet.
The Jackson family is grieving the loss of another music legend. Tito performed with his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael, who died in 2009.
Steve Manning, a close family friend and former manager, confirmed Tito’s death to “Entertainment Tonight.” His three sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ Jackson, also confirmed the news in an Instagram post. They were once a music group called 3T in the 1990s.
In their message, they wrote, “We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.”
“He will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us,” they added.
They also reminded people to follow their father’s message of love: “Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another.’
