On April 17, 2024, in Lagos, two persons from the Netherlands, Eline Holtes and Henricus Jacob De Kok, are set to appear in court.
They have been accused of stealing $1,407,373, with the charges including working together to commit the crime, pretending, and stealing.
They will face Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke alongside a company named Damen Charter International 12 B.V.
The charges were brought forward by the Police Force Criminal Investigation Department.
It is claimed that Holtes, De Kok, and their company deceived another company, NUE Offshore Resource, in 2019.

They allegedly sold a ship to NUE Offshore Resource, claiming its engine was made in 2019, but it is said they knew this was not true.
Moreover, they are accused of stealing $700,000 from NUE Offshore Resource.
The police say these actions break several laws outlined in the Advance Fee Fraud and other Related Offences Act of Nigeria.
