US Ends Visa Drop Box Service in Nigeria, Shifting Renewal Process

by Beyondboders

The United States has stopped the drop box visa service in Nigeria. This means Nigerians renewing their US visas must now attend in-person interviews.

Before now, the drop box service allowed eligible applicants to renew their visas without going for an interview. But reports say this option has been quietly removed from the online appointment system.

Many Nigerians trying to book visa renewals have noticed that the drop box feature is no longer available.

For now, the US Embassy in Nigeria has not given any official statement on the change.
