Victor Osimhen is set for a big pay rise at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
The Nigerian striker has agreed to a five-year deal with PSG, earning €14 million per year, up from his current €10 million at Napoli.
Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, was in Paris this week to work out the deal. PSG still needs to make a final agreement with Napoli.
Napoli’s new coach, Antonio Conte, is open to selling Osimhen, but PSG is hesitant to pay his €130 million release clause. They might offer €100 million plus a player instead.
PSG has suggested including players like Carlos Soler, Nordi Mukiele, or Lee Kang-in in the deal, while Napoli is looking at Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku as a possible replacement for Osimhen.
Despite interest from Saudi club Al Ahli, Osimhen wants to stay in Europe, especially the Premier League.
He has stayed professional during Napoli’s pre-season training, impressing Conte even though he is not in the coach’s plans for the next season.
