Muhammadu Sanusi II has officially received his appointment letter to become the Emir of Kano again. This happened just one day after he was reinstated to the position.
The ceremony took place at the Art Chamber of the Kano State Government House on Friday.
Many important persons were there, including Governor Abba Yusuf, traditional leaders, and other notable guests.
Governor Yusuf brought Sanusi back to the throne right after signing the new Kano State Emirate Council Bill 2024 into law.
Beyond Boders recalls that Sanusi was originally removed from his position four years ago by the former governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
The new law replaces the 2019 law and gets rid of the emirate councils that were created by Ganduje.
