Grammy-winning singer Tems has shared her thoughts on how Nigerians respond to her music.
She believes many Nigerians do not fully connect with her unique style, which has caused quite a stir online.
In an interview with Korty, Tems was asked if she feels appreciated and if Nigerians understand her music. She responded that she does not think they truly get the depth of her sound.
However, Tems did mention that she feels appreciated as an individual by her fellow Nigerians.
She said, “Understand, no. I don’t know if they appreciate my music but I feel appreciated as a person by Nigerians.”
