Segun Arinze, a famous Nollywood actor, recently talked about why he stayed single for a while after his first marriage did not work out.
Beyond Boders recalls that his marriage with actress Anne Njemanze ended in 1996 after being together for 12 years.

During a chat with media personality Chude, Segun opened up about the tough time he had finding the right person after his first marriage ended.
He said he was in a lot of confusing relationships before turning to God in 2007 and praying for a good wife.

He shared, “I stayed out of marriage after the first one crashed. I stayed out of marriage for like 12 years before I remarried. I remarried in 2008. Not that I gave up on marriage, I was just really confused about getting the right person.”
Segun recalled a moment of desperation when he prayed to God, asking for help in finding a wife. He said, “That year, 2007. I cried to God and said ‘Father Lord I have had enough can you just give me a wife’. I said just find me a wife. I remember I cried.”
His prayer seemed to be answered at a wedding he attended where he spotted a beautiful woman.
With the help of his friend, he got her contact and invited her to dinner. That was how his relationship with Julie started, and now they have been married for 16 years with three lovely kids. Julie, who is also a lawyer, serves as Segun’s legal adviser.
Segun also briefly touched on his previous divorce, mentioning that he preferred not to dwell on the past and did not want to talk about it, as he believes everyone goes through tough times hence, everyone should move on.
