The Ogun State Police Command has declared popular singer Habeeb Olalomi, also known as Portable, wanted for allegedly attacking government officials in Ogun State.
According to the police, Portable and nine others, armed with dangerous weapons, attacked officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. The officials, who were unarmed, suffered injuries but escaped and reported the attack to the Ota Area Command.
The incident reportedly happened at Odogwu Bar in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, where the officials were carrying out their duties. During the operation, they met an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father.
After the attack, Portable posted several apology videos on social media. However, the police obtained a court order and officially declared him wanted.
In a statement on social media, the police urged the public to provide any useful information to help arrest Portable. They also warned that anyone found helping or hiding him would face legal action.
“The Ogun State Police Command has obtained a valid court order declaring him wanted. Members of the public are strongly advised to assist the Police by providing any valuable information that can lead to his immediate arrest. Anyone found aiding or harbouring the suspect will face legal consequences,” the statement read in part.
