Wizkid has released a new song called ‘Kese Dance’ on streaming platforms early Friday morning.
The track is believed to be the second song from his upcoming album ‘Morayo,’ which will be available on November 22.
Earlier, Wizkid worked with Brent Faiyaz, an American singer, on a song titled ‘Piece of My Heart,’ also part of the upcoming album.
The Nigerian superstar shared that ‘Morayo’ is dedicated to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023. He also revealed that the album is not an Afrobeats project.
“Album name ‘Morayo’ best I ever made. I am not an Afrobeats artistes. Don’t call me that.
“If you like Afrobeats please don’t download my album, I’m not Afro anything,” Wizkid said.
Wizkid, whose real name is “Ayodeji Balogun,” became famous in 2011 with his debut album “Superstar.” He has since released four more albums:
– ‘Ayo’ (2014)
– ‘Sound From The Other Side’ (2017)
– ‘Made In Lagos’ (2020)
– ‘More Love, Less Ego’ (2022)
Wizkid has won several awards, including a Grammy Award in 2021 for his collaboration with Beyoncé on the hit song ‘Brown Skin Girl.’
