President Joe Biden made it clear on Friday that he plans to defeat Donald Trump in the upcoming November election.
Despite a debate performance that left some Democrats worried, Biden is determined to stay in the race.
At a rally, the 81-year-old president acknowledged his age, saying, “I know I’m not a young man, to state the obvious,” while supporters chanted “Four more years.”
Some Democrats were concerned about Biden’s debate performance, leading to discussions about his candidacy.
However, Biden’s campaign confirmed there are no plans for him to drop out. Campaign spokesperson Michael Tyler said, “We’d rather have one bad night than a candidate with a bad vision for where he wants to take the country.”

While former President Trump spread false claims during the debate, much of the attention remained on Biden.
Democratic leaders, including former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, expressed their support for Biden. Obama tweeted, “Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and somebody who only cares about himself.”
Despite some criticism, Biden’s campaign raised $14 million over two days, showing strong support. In contrast, Trump’s campaign raised $8 million.
Trump, campaigning in Virginia, said, “Joe Biden’s problem is not his age. It’s his competence.”
He believes his debate performance will help him win in states that usually lean Democratic.
The presidential race is set to be a tough battle, with both candidates ready to fight until the end.
