Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, says he still avoids sexual temptation even at the age of 82.
Pastor Adeboye, who shared this during a sermon at a church conference in the Americas, said that no matter how much one is “anointed” or experienced in the ministry, sexual temptation is something everyone should be careful of. He said he now runs even faster to avoid it.
He warned other ministers and young people in the church to be aware of sexual immorality.
He said that thinking their spiritual strength alone can protect them from temptation is a mistake.
Using examples from the Bible, Adeboye talked about Samson, who was very strong and anointed, but was defeated by a woman. He urged everyone, especially young men, to run away from any situation that might lead to sexual sin.

Pastor Adeboye also advised young women to be cautious when approached by men with sweet words. He warned that these men might only cause them harm in the end.
He said, “When you see a boy smiling at you saying, ‘Where have you been all my life? It looks as if the sun has just come out.
“He is calling you sunshine. By the time he finishes with you, you won’t even know the difference between sunshine and sunset. You may laugh but mark my words.”
Pastor Adeboye concluded by telling his congregation to always be on guard and run from anything that looks like sin.
