Today, leaders from 12 West African countries are gathered in Abuja for the 63rd Ordinary Summit of ECOWAS.
They are meeting at the State House Conference Centre to discuss important regional issues.
The summit started at 1pm and is expected to appoint a new leader to guide ECOWAS for the next year.
There is also talk that President Bola Tinubu’s term might be extended so he can work on bringing Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso back into the bloc.
