In a shocking turn of events, Stella Maris, wife of the ailing Nollywood star Mr Ibu, has caused a stir online by reportedly involving the police in a dispute over funds meant for her husband’s medical treatment.
According to Nollywood personality Doris Ogala, who shared the incident on Instagram, Mr Ibu’s adopted daughter, Jasmine, and his sons found themselves in custody at Alagbon Police Station in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The arrest as learned by Beyond Boders, is said to be the result of allegations that Jasmine had moved a substantial sum of N300 million from Mr Ibu’s bank account.
She wrote: “Jasmine and Ibu’s sons were arrested at Alagbon Police Station. They are detained there.
“Ibu’s wife alleged that Jasmine moved 300 million out of the account Ibu’s wife allegedly wanted them to buy her new house from the money contributed so far for Ibu’s treatments. That’s why she arrested Jasmine. But investigation states that the money contributed isn’t even up to 300 million.”
