Businessman and popular figure, Pascal Okechukwu, famously called Cubana Chief Priest, appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Beyond Boders reports that Cubana Chief Priest faced accusations of mistreating the Naira currency.
During the court session on Wednesday, he declared his innocence against the charges.
The allegations revolve around claims that he mishandled Naira notes during a social gathering, which is against the rules laid out in the Central Bank Act of 2007.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) brought forth these accusations.
Following his plea of not guilty, Justice Ogundare granted him bail, with the conditions for his release including the provision of two sureties who can meet the bail amount set at N10 million.
