‘No Arrest, No Death in Saudi Arabia,’ Actress Sola Sobowale Sets Record Straight [Video]

Veteran Nollywood star, Sola Sobowale, has debunked rumours swirling around her supposed arrest and demise in Saudi Arabia over drug allegations.

Speaking on the ‘Teju Baby Face Show’, the 58-year-old actress brushed off the false claims that have been circulating.

She recalled how similar rumours surfaced when she traveled to the UK, including one alleging her death in Saudi Arabia due to drug trafficking.

Sobowale, however, remained unfazed, asserting her peace of mind with God.

Sobowale also addressed past controversies, notably one where she was wrongly portrayed as running a food joint in London.

She clarified that she merely assisted her older sister, Kike Oyelami, at the restaurant, which led to misconceptions.

Expressing her dismay, Sobowale highlighted the absurdity of the drug trafficking rumour, noting she had never set foot in Saudi Arabia, let alone engaged in such activities.

Beyond Boders further reports that the actress humorously recounted the outlandish tale of her alleged arrest, amputation, and subsequent demise, emphasizing her complete detachment from the fabricated ordeal.

Known for her diverse roles in movies, Sobowale reiterated that she had no connection to Saudi Arabia and had never visited the country.
