Segun Arinze, a veteran Nollywood actor, has shared his experience of playing a white garment pastor in front of genuine members of Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) at a beach while shooting for Mo Abudu’s short film, “Iyawo Mi” (My Wife).
Arinze disclosed that he was afraid when he saw the real Aladua (white garment) members on another side of the beach doing deliverance for someone. This made him make a silent prayer, but Mo Abudu reassured him that they were just acting and that no one would disturb them.
“When we got to the beach to shoot some scenes of ‘Iyawo Mi’, we were fully dressed in our Sutana (Celestial garment) when I noticed the real Aladua (white garment) members on another side of the beach doing deliverance for someone,” he said.

“As an actor, you must be ready for all the challenges – Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba – you must be ready for it.”
Arinze’s experience is a reminder of the challenges that actors face when filming in public places. It also highlights the importance of being multilingual in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
