In a heartbreaking incident, Nick Imudia, the former CEO of Konga, a leading e-commerce company in Nigeria, has passed away.
Nick, who was the CEO of D.light, a company specializing in solar energy solutions and household products, took his own life on Tuesday, June 25, jumping from the balcony of his apartment in Lekki, Lagos.
Before this tragic act, Nick contacted his brother in the United States, giving him instructions on how to distribute his wealth.
He also made a tearful phone call to his young daughter from a previous relationship, assuring her that he would always be watching over her.
The news of Nick’s death has shocked his friends, family, and colleagues, as no one knows why he took such a drastic step.
Nick, from the Ika South local government area of Delta State, was previously married to the mother of his daughter, but they divorced due to irreconcilable differences.
Later, he married a Caucasian woman, and many believed he had found peace and happiness.
Nick had a successful career, holding positions as a regional director at TCL/Alcatel and as the General Manager for West and Central Africa at Microsoft before leading Konga.
The sudden loss of Nick Imudia has deeply affected those who knew and admired him for his professional achievements and personal strength.
