Pregnant Wife Pushes Husband to Death from Two-Storey Building in Ebonyi

by Beyondboders

A heartbreaking incident shook Ebonyi State on Tuesday morning when a pregnant woman pushed her husband to his death from a two-storey building.

As learned by Beyond Boders, the victim identified as Mr. Nwoga Maduabuchi, hails from Akparata village in Igbeagu community, Izzi Local Government Area. He was married to the suspect, his second wife from Uburu community in Ohaozara Local Government Area, and the couple resided in Abakaliki, the state capital.

According to a security officer who preferred anonymity, the tragic event unfolded during an argument between the couple over a family matter.

The officer stated, “The man is just a victim of domestic violence. He had two wives. The first wife is from Izzi Local Government Area; while the second wife is from Uburu, in the Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state.

“It’s a family matter. But the second became so enraged over the matter and acted the way she did, by pushing her husband down from the two-storey building. That’s the height of it. That’s the height of wickedness.”

Another reliable source revealed that the suspect who was heavily pregnant, frequently quarreled with her late husband, often nagging him.

The community is in shock, with one resident, Ogo Mike, expressing disbelief, as the victim was a close acquaintance.

Efforts to obtain an official statement from the Ebonyi State Police Command were unsuccessful, as the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ukandu Joshua, claimed to be unaware of the incident. He requested specific details about the location to initiate an investigation.
